2024 Year In Review

As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on all the incredible things 2024 brought to Grouse Malt House. Spoiler alert: it’s been a big one!

First off, we welcomed our new COO, Matt Bailey, to the flock. Matt has extensive experience in managing manufacturing operations, maintenance, and gluten-free brewing. From day one, Matt’s hit the ground running—optimizing operations, leading our team, and proving that he can handle our bad puns and occasional grain-related dad jokes. With Matt on board, we’ve set the stage for some serious growth ahead.

This year, we doubled down on what we do best: crafting exceptional gluten-free malts and roasts. Our team worked tirelessly to fine-tune quality, and it’s safe to say our malts have never been better. We also ramped up our brewing support, offering hands-on expertise to help our customers create their best brews yet.

Oh, and we can’t forget the cherry on top of 2024: we were awarded a micro-grant from the Colorado Grain Chain! It’s an honor to be recognized for our commitment to the local grain community—and, frankly, it’s a great excuse to raise a glass (or two).

While 2024 brought many triumphs, it also came with its share of challenges. We witnessed the closure of several breweries, including two of our original customers, Buck Wild and Aurochs Brewing. These closures served as a sobering reminder of the evolving dynamics within the craft brewing industry. Despite this, we remain encouraged by the growth in the gluten-free beer market and the increasing demand for our high-quality malts.

Looking ahead to 2025, let’s just say we’re brewing up something big—both literally and figuratively. There’s new equipment on the horizon, expanded operations in the works, and more opportunities to support the craft brewing community and beyond.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of our journey this year. Here’s to a 2025 full of growth, grains, and great beer!

Cheers,

The Grouse Malt House Team
